This authentic fabric was designed by Ghanaian artists, made in Ghana and named by the Ghana market community. According to folklore, this design takes its name from the round shape in the center of the cloth, resembling a spider web. Anansi is the main character in Ashanti folklore tales and is portrayed as very knowledgeable and cunning. The Anansi tales originated from the Ashanti people of present-day Ghana.
